Live Your Life Here In Christ

Posted By at Wednesday, July 29, 2015

2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.

Pride is one of the greatest enemies of God’s power and blessings in our lives. When you feel you can live victoriously or function by your own power, strength or intellect, then you are already doomed to failure.

Jesus imparted the Holy Spirit into every believer. The only way to live and operate through His power is to walk humbled and submit yourself to Him.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

It can be done; otherwise God would not have said so.

Philippians 4:13 Amplified Bible I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

The Lord Jesus Christ wants us to have such a close relationship with Him, that we constantly rely on and fellowship with Him. He is our strength, hope and reason to live.

John 15:4-5 Dwell in Me and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Galatians 2:20 Amplified Bible I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

You can do it because God says so.

Activate Your Faith Right Now

Posted By at Wednesday, July 22, 2015

Last week I shared about LEARN TO EXERCISE your FAITH.

This week I want to share about getting your faith ACTIVATED RIGHT NOW by The Word.

I need to get your faith activated or made to come alive because in most people it has been lying dormant for many years. God gave the measure of faith [Romans 12:3] to you through Jesus’ sacrifice and death at Calvary and His resurrection and ascension.

The challenge to you today is to take up your shield of faith and get back into the battle to retain what has been given to you.

Remember the fight of faith is not with the devil because he has already been defeated, but it is with your thinking and motivation to keep going and stay in the victory God has already given you.

Your past can no longer speak to you of your sin and failure because it’s all under the blood of Jesus and has been cast into the sea of God’s forgetfulness, never to be remembered any more.

You now live in the present and God is I AM not I used to be.

So God says right now you are:

  • Cleansed from all sin - 1 John 1:7
  • More than a conqueror - Romans 8:37
  • Able to do all things - Philippians 4:13
  • Justified - Romans 4:24-25
  • Sanctified - 1 Corinthians 1:30
  • Righteousness - 2 Corinthians 5:21
  • A living letter - 2 Corinthians 3:2-3v
  • Alive in Christ Jesus - Galatians 2:20
  • A New Creation - 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • A partaker of His Divine nature - 2 Peter 1:4
  • Blessed with all spiritual blessings - Ephesians 1:3
  • The temple of Holy Spirit - 1 Corinthians 3:16
  • Free from Satan’s authority - Colossians 1:13
  • Dead to sin - Romans 6:6
  • Victorious - 2 Corinthians 2:14
  • Strong - Psalm 27:1
  • Healed - 1 Peter 2:24
  • A joint Heir with Jesus - Romans 8:17

RIGHT NOW God says all this and much more about you if you are born again and living for Him.

Learn to Exercise Your Faith

Posted By at Wednesday, July 15, 2015

2 Cor 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.

Our ability to operate in faith comes from hearing God’s Word.

Rom 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by God's Word.

But your faith doesn’t grow just because you hear The Word. You can feed and feed your muscles with the best protein, but they only grow in strength as you exercise them.

Now your faith is exactly the same. All over the world believers sit back in their church seats week after week, just hearing and hearing the Word. Mostly they can’t understand why their faith doesn’t work for them and produce like the sermon said it would.

I can tell them why: They’re not using their faith.

Your faith needs to be working on something all the time.

When an answer comes in, your faith should then be out working in several other areas.

You have to keep your faith muscles flexed. Then if a new problem arises, you won’t flinch and say, “Oh, God, what am I going to do?” You’ll look it square in the face and say, “Thank God, its another opportunity to exercise my faith.”

Nobody enjoys problems and God doesn’t send them. But you can take anything the devil throws against you and turn it around for your good.

You can use your faith to push problems away from you like a weight lifter uses weights. Every time he pushes the weights away, he gets stronger. So the next time a problem comes along, count it all joy. Consider it one more opportunity to prove that God’s Word works. Your faith will drive the problem away and you will come out stronger than ever.

More Than You Need

Posted By at Wednesday, July 08, 2015

It might be a surprise to you but there are some things you don't know yet!

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

There are things that you haven't seen yet.

There are things you haven't heard yet.

There are blessings coming your way that will cause you to say, "I didn't know it was possible for me to be so blessed!"

God has prepared all these things for those who love Him.

But don't stop there read the next verse vs. 10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Where is God's spirit? His spirit is inside of us.

1 John 4:4 Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

He has revealed these things to us by His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all the deep things of God.

God has revelation that will expand your mind.

He has provision that will expand your mind.

He has power to manifest in your life that will expand your mind.

He has set that aside for all those who love Him.

Do you love Him today? Then it's all for you!

A New Creation!

Posted By at Wednesday, July 01, 2015

The phrase 'new creation' is used only twice in the Bible, and both are in the New Testament.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a New Creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor un-circumcision avails anything, but a New Creation.

Sometimes we hear verses like these so many times we become somewhat "dull of hearing" because they have become so familiar to us. We hear them, say, "Amen," and then go on with our lives without the power of those truths having much of an impact on us.

Let me share with you some of the things I have been learning about what these verses are really saying. In the Greek language from which the bible was originally translated, the two words translated "New Creation" are "kainos ktisis." The word "kainos" simply means "new." There is nothing unexpected in that definition. But the word "ktisis" is actually derived from the Greek word "ktizo" which is defined as follows by Strong's Dictionary Of New Testament Words: 2936. ktizo, ktid'-zo; through the idea of the proprietorship of the manufacturer; to fabricate, i.e. found, form originally:--create, Creator, make.

If any man is in Christ, he is a newly fabricated, something freshly and originally formed by the Owner. In Christ we are newly created, newly made. In my studies I have found the same Greek word for "creation" is used in the New Testament to describe when God first created the heavens and the earth.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation [ktisis] of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

It is easy for us to understand that when God created the world, He made something brand new that did not exist before. That new world had no past because it did not exist before God created it. This is the truth that God is trying to get across to us. When we were born again, God created a NEW spirit within us that did not exist before.

We are NOT just the same old sinners, but forgiven now. No, every believer is a NEW CREATION and has no past from God’s point of view.

We are a “new person” created (newly, freshly fabricated by the Owner) and we are no longer what we used to be. Praise God!
