The Secret to a Better Faith

Posted By at Wednesday, June 25, 2014

In Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

D. L. Moody said: "I prayed for faith and thought that some day faith would come and strike me like lightning. But faith did not come. One day I read the tenth chapter of Romans: “Now faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” I had closed my Bible and prayed for faith. I now opened my Bible and began to study, and faith has been growing ever since."

The disciples, seeing the miracles Jesus did, realized He had a faith they did not have.

They wanted to achieve what He was achieving so they cried out in Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

Many places over the world wherever I have ministered, I have had different people say to me, "Pray for me that I may have more faith."

Whenever men meet on business councils to discuss some project for the Kingdom of God; the first question usually raised is: "Where is the finance coming from?"

What we really need is faith in God's Word and the finance will begin to flow.

You might you ask, "How do I get the kind of faith that will heal me of this incurable disease that is slowly killing me?"

Or you might you ask: "How can I pay my ever increasing debts?"

Or you might you ask: "How can I change the impossible situations I am constantly surrounded by?"

Or some might you ask: "How can I live above my circumstances instead of under them?"

Get excited! I am about to share with you the secret of obtaining great faith, the kind of miracle working faith that is available to all men!

God says in 3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Rom 10.17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing God's Word.

The secret is to fill yourself up with God's Word to overflowing and you will begin to move in a supernatural faith if you apply the principles to every decision you make.

You Can Do It!

Posted By at Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Today I want to give you some inspirational faith teaching and some guidelines as to how you could be blessed abundantly and not fail in your life!

Job 36:11 Living Bible "If they listen and obey him, then they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives.

2 Pet 1:10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall.

You have been born-again to win.

My experience of over 40 years of training and developing the ability and character of people has revealed certain things to me that are common characteristics to many people.

  1. Generally people have a lack of knowledge of their power in Christ!
  2. They have a lack of confidence in their ability in Christ!
  3. They have no definite plans to shape their future in Christ!

This state of man's un-preparedness then handicaps his efficiency and retards his progress in any given field.

People do not plan to fail they simply fail to plan to succeed.

The simple truth is that most people go through life without ever knowing what it is they want, but they are pretty sure they haven't got it!

They never know that within them they already have the power with which to realise the vision of what they would like to have.

My wife Elizabeth and I believe that each of you is meant to reach your full potential in this life, not the next one. We further believe that our ministry is helping provide many of you with the personal motivation that you need to be the totally fulfilled person that you have in your heart to be.

But you must listen to God's Holy Spirit with your heart.

The man or woman who climbs to the top in life is the one who listens to his or her own spirit being directed by the Holy Spirit.

God is not a mind He does not speak to your mind!

God is not physical He does not speak to your body!

God is a Spirit and He only speaks to your spirit!

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Much of the development in the Church world is just soulish development, and not spiritual development at all! They spend so much time on programs and not enough time in God's Word.

You can make the choice today to spend time with God and hear from His Holy Spirit before making ANY decision regarding your future. You will be glad if you do.

Are You Taking Your Medicine?

Posted By at Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Prov 4.20-22 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good; like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

Living these scriptures is not always easy, but it is always good. I can remember as a child I had been a sickly little boy and that my mother would say, ”You need to take your medicine," and I would close my mouth tight. “No, I don't want to!” She would try to pry it open and finally she would call my dad and then, I had to open my mouth. It's funny but in this verse we need to do the same thing.

Take your medicine. What is the medicine we take? It’s a merry heart. It's The Word of God that gives us a merry heart. This verse shows us that if we have a merry heart, it works like medicine to our being.  When we're grumpy, and don't have a cheerfulness about us it dries us up.

You might say, “Well I don't feel like it” or “I feel like I'm just faking it."

At first, that's probably how you’re going to feel, but as you continue to let joy and happiness rise up in you it will take over and even become contagious.

This world has so much to be sad about. If you read the newspaper or watch the television news, it's only full of bad news. But when you read the Gospels and you read the Words of Jesus, they are filled with the Good News. So be careful what you watch and what you listen to, because this will dictate the course of your life. All the shows we watch for pleasure can affect us.

So today, try being cheerful even if you don't feel like it. Put a smile on your face. Remember, your smile might be what someone else is in need of. Your cheerfulness might bring joy to someone else's life. Go ahead, give it a try, and see the effect that it has.

Paul's Letter to Romans

Posted By at Wednesday, June 04, 2014

Romans is considered one of Paul's greatest writings on Christian doctrine. It is an orderly, logical development of great theological truths.

It is a marvellous book of teaching on the New Creation message and it's worthwhile making a detailed study of it sometime. Have a roam through Romans and discover the liberating truths.

In Rom 5:17-19 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, MUCH MORE those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

So if what the devil did in corrupting one man, Adam, was bad and affected all mankind, then what God did through the one man, Jesus, was MUCH MORE in restoring all mankind to son-ship; if they would only accept it.

I particularly like the passage in Romans 6:6,11,19.

Rom 6:6 "Knowing this that our old man is [was] crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

Verse 6 is speaking of the New Birth and it is The Lord's doing.

Rom 6:11 "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Verse 11 is speaking of renewing the mind and it is our responsibility. You don't deal with sin because Christ did for you; so you just have to believe it. Sin cannot rule over you because you are 'dead' to it and it's effect.

Rom 6:19 "I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh (natural limitations) for as ye have yielded servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness."

Verse 19 is again our responsibility; to learn by doing, the yielding of our bodies to the leading of the Spirit and The Word. Continually obeying God's Word and recognising that Christ is our new master and sin was our old master. Now live for Him with the same enthusiasm you lived for the old master!

Have a great week.
