Freedom From Fear By God's Word

Posted By at Wednesday, August 31, 2011

How many times have you said or heard someone else say I am scared to death?

The times in which we are living could well be called the age of fear. The media makes sure we see it and read it by the messages of fear come at us from every side. Newscasts and newspapers offer a smorgasbord of fears such as the fear of new incurable diseases, the fear of economic collapse and the fear of crime and terrorist attacks. The list is just endless and it seems to be growing daily.

When we are dealing with fear, you need to realize that Satan operates and uses things found in the natural realm. His tactic is to convince you that the things you can see and hear are more real than the truth found in God's Word. When you depend on what you can see rather than on what God says, you leave yourself wide open for the devil’s deception.

There are many people alive today who think that what they are watching on television, the soap operas etc. are reality. But all they produce is fear in the hearts of those who don’t know God’s Word.

Remember, Luke 10.19 all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to you in the name of Jesus.

2 Tim 1.7 God has not given to us a spirit of fear.

I translate that like this, God has not give to those with a born again spirit the ability to be overcome by fear.

You have authority over everything that walks, crawls, creeps, flies or swims. Therefore, you have no reason to be fearful. Instead, trust in the Lord. Should the devil come against you with his lies and fears, just remind him that, Rom. 8:2 The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made [you] free from the law of sin and death.

So because you are IN CHRIST you can be fearless, because there is no fear in love and He is love and He is inside you. So fear can no longer hold you in bondage. You are free!

Are You Really Thankful?

Posted By at Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Many of us have much to be thankful for, yet we sit around complaining about what we don't have. Even if the only thing that Jesus did for us was to die for our sins so that we may avoid hell and spend our eternity in heaven, then that alone is enough to motivate us to always give thanks each day for the rest of our lives while we are here on earth.

Giving thanks should not be an occasional acknowledgment of God's hand on our lives. Neither should it be relegated to the clapping of hands and singing of praise or limited to a particular day of thanks. Rather, it is to be a continual and genuine demonstration of appreciation for God's hand and influence on our lives daily.

We need to take time to enjoy and appreciate God's great goodness towards us as we fellowship with Him. Thanksgiving is a vital key in releasing the power of God in our lives. God's power, the anointing, will destroy every yoke and remove every burden Isa. 10:27 tells me. Expect Him to lift every bit of fear, sickness, lack, depression, disappointment, discouragement, and defeat and start walking by faith in the benefit of that freedom.

As you keep thanksgiving alive in your life, you will experience God's power and anointing in every area of and in every situation in your life! God designed thanksgiving to be an essential characteristic for His children. It's time for us to take thanksgiving out of the occasional and make it a lifestyle.

HAVE A WONDERFUL MIDDLE OF THE WEEK TIME OF BEING THANKFUL.

New Habits

Posted By at Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Aristotle said we are what we repeatedly do.

So excellence and success then is not an act, but the result of a habit.

When we know that God wants what’s best for us then that is essential to the success of every born-again Believer.

Subsequent, what you do every day in light of this understanding helps develop the habits in your life.

These habits are based on the words you hear, your own thinking processes, even your emotions and actions. Whether good or bad, the habits you establish in your life will determine your level of success.

I read somewhere that it just takes 30 days to create a habit and if it is continued for 90 days it creates a lifestyle.

To live in God’s abundance, you have to develop good habits that are based on the Word of God. Then continue those habits as a lifestyle.

Then also you should do some practical things so that you can obtain God’s promises.

Thomas Edison said a successful person makes a habit of doing what the failing person doesn’t want to do.

In other words winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don’t like to do.

SO WHAT DOES THE BIBLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HOW OUR CHOICES CREATE OUR FUTURE?

The freedom to make our own choices is a very important issue in our society. Every day, every person chooses to do the things that we do, unless we are in a situation where we have been stripped of our freedom and then we must do as those who have control over us command us to do. This would be the case of those in prison or those who are enslaved by force in repressive societies. Even in these circumstances one still has freedom to make certain choices although they may be limited.

Renewing the mind will cause negative habits and emotions to change. The key to that change is faith.

Through our wills we must choose to change. However, it is only the work of the Holy Spirit who can actually bring permanent change in us.

We cannot do it in ourselves. We choose to let go of the negative and that allows the Holy Spirit help bring about the change in us as we yield to his leading. But doubt and unbelief can keep a person from receiving this kind of blessing as much as it does healing of the body.

A Christian must make the choices for God's way and against the world’s way in absolute faith that the Holy Spirit will do His part and help them make the needed changes in them.

If we allow our bodies to be lazy and undisciplined, they will suffer the consequences. Bad physical habits can hinder God's work in us. The Holy Spirit wants to help us overcome these ungodly ways. In the soul realm, if we choose to be resentful, hateful, angry, unkind, discouraged, worried, fearful, impatient, lustful, greedy, etc., we will allow these things to rule us instead of calling on the strength of Christ to help us to overcome these negative attitudes. Start to learn today who and what you are and what can do in Christ.

Have a great overcoming week and establish some new habits.

God is More Than Enough Today

Posted By at Wednesday, August 10, 2011

No matter what situation you may be facing today, whether it’s a relationship problem, a finance problem, a health problem or even the loss of a loved one, I want to tell you right now that God is always MORE THAN ENOUGH!

Genesis 17:1 - And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

The Hebrew words for Almighty God in this verse are El Shaddai, the Mighty Breasty One, and the Superior One. But this was the first time that God revealed this to Abraham. God first spoke to Abram when he was seventy-five years old [Gen. 15] and Abram only knew God as Elohim in other words, He only knew God as The Creator. In fact, Genesis 17:1 is the first time that God even speaks to Abram in some thirteen years, because Abram had gotten involved with an Ishmael. He tried to help God out and when he did that, he created Ishmael and went against God’s plan.

Abram and Sarai could not understand how God was going to give them a child when Sarai's womb was barren even though they knew God was The Creator.

One definition of Elohim is the One who makes nature, who causes it to be, who preserves it the One who establishes all natural laws.

Natural laws are what cause this planet to operate. Natural laws are never to be broken, infringed, or dishonoured. God is the One who made the law of gravity. God is the Creator of physics not just the scientist who simply discovered it. El Shaddai would have to change Sarah’s body. They did not understand how it she would have a baby being a barren woman. So when she had not given birth to a child and had now reached an age when she was unlikely ever to have one, she decided to give him one by proxy through Hagar, her Egyptian maidservant. Hagar became pregnant immediately and did not conceal her sense of superiority over her mistress, who felt correspondingly humiliated. Relations between the two women were thenceforth strained. Hagar in due course gave birth to Ishmael, who was his aged father’s pride and joy. But the time came, some thirteen years later, when Abraham and Sarah actually received the promise of God that Sarah herself would have a son, and the promise was fulfilled the following year in the birth of Isaac—so named because of the laughter.

El Shaddai changed Sarah's body and caused the child of promise to be conceived. Every time Abraham used his name Abraham or even if someone else spoke his name they were saying he was the father of nations, he was the father of a multitude. Every time the name was said it was establishing God’s promise until Abraham believed it so totally he did not doubt God’s ability to make it a reality in his life.

So when God spoke the words to Abraham and told Him he would be a daddy the Holy Spirit took those words that Abraham believed and made them flesh in Sarah’s body and she conceived and brought forth Isaac. God is the Fixer of problems and He is the Maker of everything. Nobody else gets the credit other than God. He can fix whatever problem you have. God does not need your help. Why not just let Him do it and then give Him all the glory for the victory.

Have a successful overcoming week!
