How Much Time Should We Spend With God?

Posted By at Wednesday, June 29, 2011

I know we all live such busy lives with our work, our hobbies, children to get to various programs etc. But we should also make time in our busy lives for God who created us. Try and aim to spend not less than fifteen minutes a day with God in your personal devotions. Out of the 168 hours we all have in a week that will only add up to one hour and forty-five minutes. That seems very little when you consider that you were created to have meaningful fellowship with God.

Here's a tip: watching the clock will ruin your time with God.

Let me tell you today you have nothing to lose by spending time with Father God. The life of Jesus on earth was a perfect example of a life totally given over to God. Yes I know He was the Son of God but while He was on the earth He was the Son of Man. He came as a man to redeem all mankind from the sin that dominated us all. He was a real example of what it means to give God time in your life. In my past life as a policeman and also as a bouncer who worked in clubs and pubs I had no time for God, even though I had been brought up to go to church. Once I left home I stopped going to church and just enjoyed what I thought was really living. It wasn’t until I had a major motor accident and spent 14 months in hospital and a recovery that took over 3 years that I found out how much living I was really doing. I made a choice to involve God and His Son Jesus in my life and then it started to become a real life after that. That was over 45 years ago and now I am involved full time in serving God. It is amazing what He can do if you will allow Him to be involved. Don’t wait to the last minute, invite Jesus into your life today, He will come in. Pray this simple prayer

Dear God I don’t fully understand this but I ask Jesus to come into my life and give me a new start, a new purpose for living. I receive Him now in Jesus Name.

If you prayed that simple prayer I believe you got born again. Get into a good Bible teaching church and live your life for Him because He died for you at Calvary 2000 years ago.

Have a great week from:-)

When Life Hands You a Lemon

Posted By at Wednesday, June 22, 2011

When life hands you lemons make lemonade as the saying goes.

But why settle for making lemonade when there are so many more positive possibilities?

Just  remember there is no situation so completely hopeless that something constructive cannot be done with it.

When you are faced with a minus, do what you can to make it a plus.

When you practice an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness you will be able to extract undreamed outcomes from the most terrible situations.

You must realize there are no really hopeless situations, there are just people with hopeless attitudes. Don’t be one  of them because we all have a tendency to adopt the attitudes of those we spend time with!

Paul wrote Rom 1.12 Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.

He also said in Phil 4.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are  true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever thing are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good  report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things.

When you choose to forgive and focus on what you can control; your attitudes and your opportunities; this increases your energy, builds your potential and takes the limits of your faith and your future!

Have a great week.

The Blessing of God

Posted By at Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Proverbs 10.22 The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

In the last few weeks we have been rejoicing at God’s provision for this ministry, He has blessed us abundantly as He promised in Ephesians 3.20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Jesus Christ is the life-giving Son of God, who brought God’s blessing to this earth.

John 10.10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus also said in Matthew 4.4 Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I notice that carnal people only see carnal things, that’s why we all need to be thoroughly filled with God’s Spirit and living in His wonderful Word every day.

A study of the fact of God's blessings is a wonderful study. God is the greatest giver of all. James 1.17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast in turning.

God never planned the needy to be dependent on the wealthy; but for everyone to have the same opportunity to make God’s Word work for themselves individually. So anyone anywhere can use their faith to have God provide for their needs.

Psalm 113.7-8 7 He raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap.

8 That He may seat him with princes with the princes of His people.

The Word will provide for anyone who is willing to use it in the way God suggests.

Psalm 34.8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Psalm 41.1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble

Proverbs 8.32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways

God’s blessings are real. The blessing of God is powerful and life changing while the loss of God’s blessing is more serious than we have probably imagined.

We, recently in the last couple of weeks had a brand new laptop given to the ministry. We had been asking The Father to provide one for us and someone in another state has answered God’s leading and provided a state of the art machine and all necessary soft wear etc.

Again we are grateful thank you all for your support!

Have a wonderful week.

To Receive God's Blessings

Posted By at Wednesday, June 01, 2011

BE CERTAIN OF WHAT YOU WANT!

Mark 11:24, Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe ye receive them and ye shall have them.

Abraham wanted a son!

Genesis 15:2, And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

Genesis 15:6, And he believed in The Lord and He counted it to him for righteousness.

God operates by the laws and principles of His Word, so when we come to receive from Him we must ask!

James 4:2, ....ye have not because ye ask not.

John 14:14, If ye ask anything in my name, I will do it!

John 16:23-24, And in that day ye shall ask me nothing.  Verily verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24 Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name, ask, and ye shall receive; that your joy may be full.

The two blind men sitting by the wayside begging received the same thing they asked for!

Matthew 20:32-34, And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, what will ye that I shall do unto you?

24 They say unto Him, Lord! That our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

So you must be sure of what you want!

James 1:8, A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Any person that is double minded, not sure of what he wants, sometimes spiritual and sometimes carnal, will receive nothing from The Lord.

BE CERTAIN YOU HAVE GOD'S WORD FOR WHAT YOU WANT!

Abraham's formula for his faith to work is found in Romans 4:17-21, he had God's Word for what he wanted.

v17, As it is written....

Find out what God has to say about your situation, from His Word. He has a health plan, a finance plan, a marriage plan, a family plan, etc all in His Word.

Get two or three Scriptures that relate to your desire, and use them as the basis of your prayer approach to God.

Jeremiah 1:12, I am watching over my word to perform it.

For example if you are asking God about the health in your physical body, then you should use Scriptures such as Exodus 15:26, Psalm 103:2-3, Psalm 107:20, Isaiah 53:3-5, Isaiah 58:8, Matthew 8:16-17, 1 Peter 2:24, 3 John 2, etc.

If God says it, then it is so!

God told Abram, I have made thee the father of many nations...

You must be able to see that what God has told you in His Word is already so!

"I have made you strong." Psalm 27:1, Phil. 4:13, Joel 3:10

"I have made you whole." Colossians 2:10, John 1:16

So you must have God's Word for what you want, then you can receive all He has for you!
